Recently, Bob Piano shared his new single “Witches” via Axis Mundi Records. The track begins slowly, navigating through fuzz-fueled vocals and gritty guitar riffs, then quickly sprawls out into a sunny, energetic psych-rock anthem that feels simultaneously urgent and free-flowing. The song is his second release this year following “Sacred World,”

Bob Piano first cut his teeth playing in punk and screamo bands around the greater Boston area while still in high school. Later, he would make the drastic decision to move to Moscow, Russia where he continued to write until his songs began to take a different direction. Finding inspiration in artists like Frank Zappa, The 13th Floor Elevators, and more contemporary acts like Unknown Mortal Orchestra, a series of psychedelic pop songs began to flow. Eventually, after vowing to quit music multiple times, Bob Piano returned to the U.S. and settled in New York City. Scraping money together for recording sessions amidst dead end jobs at bars and dog walking during the day.
