Johnny Marr, recently announced his third solo album, Call The Comet, the full-length will be released on June 15th. From the 12-track collection, he shares “The Tracers”. Marr will play a handful of North American dates, including Gramercy City in New York City, San Francisco at August Hall, Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles and Neptune Theatre in Seattle. Marr tells us, “Call The Comet is my own magic realism. It’s set in the not-too-distant future and is mostly concerned with the idea of an alternative society. The characters in the songs are searching for a new idealism, although there are some personal songs in there too. It’s something that people like me can relate to.”

Recorded with his band in Manchester at Marr’s Crazy Face Studios in Manchester, Call The Comet follows previous releases The Messenger (2013) and Playland (2014). Highlight tracks to come include “Actor Attractor,” “Walk Into The Sea,” “Bug” and “Spiral Cities.” The album will be released on digital, CD and vinyl formats along with some special D2C bundle packages.
