“Sculptures” Fractures
Fractures, AKA Mark Zito, has the ability to blend a variety of genres — creating interesting combinations that pair lush production and infectious pop hooks with haunting narratives. He’s won a wide range of fans and praise from his peers including Gotye and Chet Faker for his diverse, sound.
Reset, Fractures first collection of work released with FADER Label, is a dynamic project that balances between soft, captivating vocals, pulsing synths, and rich, textured production featuring intricate guitars and electronic tones. Fractures lyrics, alternating falsetto and strong, layered vocals, and instrumentation mimic dark and light, hope and the need for perseverance.
Mark Zito of Fractures confirms the EP was inspired by a stagnant, indeterminable period in his life where he was forced to “take stock of both what had come and what was coming.” He says, “the EP encapsulates something of an in-between and a shift to bigger and hopefully better things…songs like ‘Reset’, ’Dawn’ and ’Splinter’ are a meditation of sorts on how it pays to break a pattern and make hard decisions in order to gain momentum and get out of a rut.”
