“Tokyo” by Dan Croll

On the heels of the release of the Tokyo EP, out now on Kobalt Music Recordings, Dan Croll has premiered a lively new animated video for the title track. The video for new single, which is also featured as the closing track on Croll’s sophomore release, Emerging Adulthood, was designed and created by Simon Landrein (Rick & Morty’s Exquisite Corpse Episode, Nike, Cartoon Network, Apple). Landrien, who relished the opportunity create the video for the new release. “It was really great to work on this project as I was excited to explore the visual aspect of jealousy set in a fantasized vision of Tokyo,” Landrein said of the partnership with Croll. “It was fun to translate the imagination and dreams we can have around the imagery that this city can create in our mind.”

“I’ve always wanted to do an animated video and I’m so glad to not only get to finally do it but also to work with the amazing Simon Landrein” added Croll, “I’ve admired his work for a long time now, he’s someone who has mastered the simplicity and humor of animation so well and I’m so happy with the Tokyo results!”

The Tokyo EP features the new single, as four previously unreleased remixes of the title track, by Australian producer Fractures, Scottish composer C Duncan, composer/arranger Paul Frith (The XX, Radiohead) and the Anna of the North Remix.
