“LVLR” by Raccoon Fighter
Hailing from the borough of Queens, Raccoon Fighter are set to follow up last year’s Signal Flag EP with another extended player, Hover Craft, on August 26th via PaperCup Music, and premiered its first single, “LVLR”.
Sean Gavigan, Zac Ciancaglini and Gabe Wilhelm all grew up in the tiny south Jersey town of Vineland with dreams of rock and roll, relocating to New York to work in recording studios, behind the boards and as studio musicians, working on records by Blonde Redhead, Real Estate and Willie Nelson, amongst others, while Wilhelm was a member of Ryan Adams’ backing band, The Cardinals, during the Easy Tiger-era. Forming in 2009, they have released two EPs and a full-length record the past half-dozen years, but with Hover Craft, leading them out of the garage and delving deeper into psychedelic glam, Raccoon Fighter seem to have found the sound that suits them best.
