“In My Heart” By Constant Smiles

Constant Smiles have revealed their forthcoming album Kenneth Anger, the third and final in a series of releases called the Divine Cycle trilogy that began with 2017’s Divine, followed by 2019’s John Waters. Along with the news, the band have announced March Tour Dates set to kick off around the album release leading into SXSW. Ahead of the album’s arrival, Constant Smiles have shared “In My Heart ” which comes with a black and white video filmed on Martha’s Vineyard, directed by Samuel Jerome Mason (who has performed with Constant Smiles and done videos for Mac Miller, Future Islands, Sofi Tukker among many others).

Ben Jones shares: “Sam and I have been friends since we were kids, and Sam has been a long time member of Constant Smiles. He is so immensely talented and his videos are so beautiful so I am always trying to think of excuses to work with him. He was also the first person I ever recorded with so I am so grateful that we are still friends and can keep making things together and growing as artists and collaborators together.”

Director Samuel Jerome Mason shares: “Ben and I grew up together on this island. This video was made in a very MV way where nothing works out if you try to make plans. It’s equal parts about: the spins, dropping in on friends and family, island bird populations, and off season lonesome joy.”

Kenneth Anger was brought to life by engineer Jonathan Schenke (Parquet Courts, Liars, Dougie Pool). The group is known most recently for their much-praised debut album for Sacred Bones records, Paragons , an emotionally resonant offering of indie folk masterpieces that all confront the internal ways we process our struggles with intimacies, addiction and humanity – produced by Ben Greenberg.

Constant Smiles’ primary singer/songwriter Ben Jones uses the creative process as a tool for working through a deeply transformative period in his life.
