Spare Parts for Broken Hearts Debut Single
Southern California band Spare Parts for Broken Hearts, have released their new single “Big win.” The track is of the trio’s forthcoming yet to be titled release. The trio is led by vocalist/guitarist Sarah Green, along with drummer Jessica Lankford and bassist Jonny Cifuentes the band’s sound is influenced by a number of artists, including Elliott Smith, Nirvana, Deftones, and A Perfect Circle. The band is currently crafting their highly anticipated debut LP.
Singer Sarah Green wrote “Big Win” during one of the biggest transitions of her life. It is a story that unfolded over the course of a year between two individuals who ultimately failed to reconcile, and an attempt to gain clarity and understanding of them by writing from their point of view.
Sarah Green on “Big Win”:
“I remember all of the questions being asked between the two of us over cigarettes and bottles of water labeled “Big Win!” It was in that moment I gave up and decided to lose everything, and all I could do was stare at the label and think, how ironic.”
‘Big Win’ is slated for release on August 2nd, 2019.
