Grave Flowers Bongo Band "Down Man"

Grave Flowers Bongo Band’s forthcoming release Strength of Spring is described as “an inverted pyramid balanced on the headstock of an acoustic guitar, a rainbow painted in campfire smoke, an endless staircase circling into the clouds.” The album was produced by Ty Segall, and definitely shows his skills, at nabbing the fine guitar sounds of Gabriel Flores. Strength of Spring comes out via the great indie label, Castle Face Records on April 30th. Anything Ty Segall writes or produces, we are a fan of. You will probably feel the same after checking out Grave Flowers Bongo Band. Ahead of the release, the band have shared the lead-track “Down Man.”

Quote from Gabriel on the video for “Down Man:”

“We tried to funkadelitize this one. Channeling “Maggot Brain” energy to this classic song by Dutch psych rock royalty Brainbox! Originally released in 1969 we had to pay homage this this acoustic rock banger that was influential to our style.”
