Sango has released his newest single, “Drifted,” featuring Jayla Darden. The song arrives on the heels of “Amen,” Sango’s contribution to Drake’s new album For All the Dogs, and sees Sango tackling personal experiences of grief that come from growth. “Drifted” was co-produced by Kaytranada and Savon.

Speaking about the song, Sango shared: “The song reflects on the difficulty of moving on from a childhood relationship, highlighting the challenges and growth that come with it. The cover art is a personal touch, using my grandma’s prom picture to pay homage to my family roots. The photo perfectly captures the essence of the song.”

“Drifted” is the second single from Sango’s forthcoming album, North Vol. 2. The album also features the recently-released single “masego’s interlude,” a collaboration with Grammy-nominated singer Masego. North Vol. 2 is a compilation album that follows Sango’s first full-length album, North, released 10 years ago.
