Sango announces a new album, North Vol. 2, ahead of the release the artist has shared “masego’s interlude.” The track finds the artist perfecting the sound that he’s been crafting over the course of his career and features vocals from Masego over guitar leads North Vol. 2. is a compilation album that serves as a nod to his debut full length, North, which was released a decade ago but explores similar themes such as family, self-expression, wisdom, and love with a refined feel. “masego’s interlude” arrives alongside a Ghost McGrady-directed visualizer that documents a day in the life through Gary, Indiana until the grainy camcorder runs out of battery.

Sango is a Seattle-based producer who has quietly amassed a massive catalog that explores the entire spectrum of music, from the baile funk of his celebrated Da Rocinha series to the lush soul of his 2018 album In The Comfort Of, his production for artists like Tinashe, Bryson Tiller, GoldLink and more, as well as his cult classic remixes of artists like Aaliyah, Drake, Little Dragon, The Weeknd and more.

He is part of the Los Angeles collective Soulection. At the young age of 12, Sango started producing music alongside his older brother and his friends.
