Maribou State Announces North American Tour

Maribou State will return to North America in December for a string of DJ dates for the first time since releasing their debut album Portraits (out now on Counter Records). To mark the occasion, they’ve released a new mix entitled “Sound of Eight Cities.”

“Ahead of our DJ tour to the US, we decided to create a mix that’s composed of music which originates from all the places we are visiting, as well as a couple of artists that are now residing in those cities! We’ve also peppered the mix with field recordings from our recent travels across the pond,” state Chris Davids and Liam Ivory of Maribou State.

The mix follows their first show for the esteemed BBC Radio 1 Residency and accompanies the announcement of the Portraits Remixed 12” and expanded digital package featuring reworks from Axel Boman (Studio Barnhus), Ross from Friends (Breaker Breaker), FYI Chris (Rhythm Section), Glenn Astro (Tartelet/Money $ex), Pedestrian (2nd Drop/Born Electric), Gang Colours (Brownswood), Ben Pearce (Purp & Soul) and Martin Iveson (Atjazz/Less Than 10).
