“Wrong Places” by Lys Morke
Lys Morke has shared her new single “Wrong Places,” taken from her upcoming debut EP, Knife Therapy. The single highlights Morke’s haunting vocal approach, ethereal acoustics, and captivating approach to seamlessly fusing every element with crystal clear production.
About the new single, Morke comments “The ugly side of desire is frustration. “Wrong Places” is an ode to unresolved desire and aimless yearning. I wrote it slightly tipsy on the train with my computer on my lap, and I recorded some vocals on my bed as soon as I got home at 2 a.m. A few days later, I landed on the final idea while messing around with my vocal pedalboard. I didn’t get laid, but at least I had fun making this track.”
On joining the Artoffact family and releasing her debut EP with the label, Morke says “I feel very fortunate to join Artoffact, a label that not only shares my artistic vision but also feels like a great fit for my debut EP ‘Knife Therapy’. They bet on bands that break molds and push boundaries, valuing and respecting their artistic integrity. It is an honor to share space with artists I admire like GGGOLDDD, Ken Mode, and Kanga. This opens a new chapter in my career, I am deeply grateful and excited to bring my music to a new and wider audience.
