Surfbort release their new album Keep on Truckin’ on October 11, 2021. This full-length is part of the recently launched partnership between producer/composer Linda Perry via SoundCloud/Repost. In an age of division where presentation has trumped content, where billionaires blast into space as the wealth gap increases and the entire society teeters on the spectrum of addiction, Keep on Truckin’ reminds us that we’re all geniuses and idiots, and that love, humor, magic, and the human sitting next to you are the only antidote to the capitalist hellscape,” says singer Dani Miller. Guitarist Alex Kilgore chimed in that the album is comprised of “12 songs for a new world, a call to arms to blast love: a panacea to the corporate hellscape we live in.”

“Big Star” is about finding yourself after drug addiction. That life has tons in store beyond your wildest dreams,” Dani explains. “Big Star” is also about the loneliness in life, and how there will be lonely transition periods but the love you are searching for is within. No matter if you are a big star in a big world or have a trash car in a small world you are living and learning and the universe has a ton in store for you.”

Directed by artist Kii Arens, the band noted that “making a video with Kii was amazing. He set us up at a press conference like the Beatles getting off the airplane in America, and then it turned into an acid trip… Gucci dressed us for the video and the whole thing took place at Linda Perry’s studio where we made the record so it was very special.” Arens adds: “The day before we shot this video Linda Perry sent me the link to the album and I was completely blown away. This is the rock album the world needs right now. Real, raw, and a hell of a party at the same time. All of those feelings spilled into the camera with the greatest of ease. I was also completely floored by the performance of Dani Miller who made every frame count. Long live rock ‘n’ roll!”

And as Dani so lovingly wants you to know: “Keep on Truckin’ is our reminder that you’re not crazy, the world you live in is.”
