September Girls Releasing 12″ Vinyl EP
September Girls have premiered‘ their video for “Veneer” from their new EP which will be released November 24 on Kanine Records and will be in stores on Black Friday. The video, which was directed by Jessie Ward O’Sullivan, was recorded overnight in Dublin and is based on a video concept developed by the band. Last month,September Girls will be performing at CMJ in support of their forthcoming EP.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Phil Spector, The Velvet Underground, The Cure, My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus And Mary Chain, the five-piece play reverb-soaked noise-pop of the finest order, with distant layered harmonies, swirling organ and distorted guitar.
As their year of triumph draws to a close, September Girls returns with a brand new four track EP titled Veneer, recorded deep underground in Guerilla Studios, Dublin. Whilst still retaining their signature drenched feedback sound, the tracks have a greater depth and polish than the album recordings. Each of the four tracks is written and sung by a different member of the band, who describe their songs individually below:
Butterflies – About navigating life after heartbreak, negotiating the balance between heart and head, abandon and protection – Lauren
