Sega Bodega has dropped his new single “Kepko” via his label NUXXE, his first track since the release of his album Romeo. “Kepko” arrives ahead of three headline theatre shows in London, Berlin and NYC titled Romeo: The Final Act, marking the end of the Romeo era.

The video for Kepko was directed and shot by Sega and Lydia Ourahmane and includes cameos from a host of his friends and collaborators including Caroline Polachek, Uffie, Virgen Maria and many more. “Lydia’s camera is haunted, everything we filmed went back into the laptop all destroyed and glitching like this.” says Sega; “a gift.”

Sega Bodega’s 2021 album Romeo showcases an otherworldly production style that has marked him as a pioneer within the alternative and electronic spaces. Romeo includes features from celebrated peers Arca and Charlotte Gainsbourg and the singles “I Need Nothing From You,” “Angel On My Shoulder,” and “Only Seeing God When I Come.” Following the release of Romeo, Sega has embarked on headline tours across UK/EU/US, drawing sold out crowds of his dedicated fanbase to unite with him. Now, in a theatrical celebration of this body of work, Sega steps into the light once more to close off the Romeo era and will tease new music also.

Alongside his two solo albums, Sega Bodega has also been a crucial creative hand in countless projects over the past decade including the A&R and development of artists under his NUXXE label, production for artists including Caroline Polachek (latest single ‘Sunset’), Oklou, Shygirl and Zebra Katz, and his evermore groundbreaking solo work. As part of NUXXE, Bodega was featured in Dazed 100, a list of the most influential artists operating in art and media today. A keen soundtracker, Bodega scored Nike’s 2018 Jumpman advert, contributed music to Rihanna’s Puma x Fenty show at New York Fashion Week, and provided sound design for Brooke Candy and PornHub’s landmark I Love You, the first adult film to feature full-length gay, lesbian and trans scenes all under one title.
