“Rainbow Fish” by Coco
Coco includes Maia Friedman of Dirty Projectors, Dan Molad of Lucius, and Oliver Hill of Pavo Pavo. Today, the trio have shared have their new single “Rainbow Fish,” a psychedelic outtake from the recording sessions of their sophomore album ‘2’ as well as its B-side companion, “Jelly Fish.” The band share, ““Rainbow Fish is a production canvas and an opportunity to think only about sounds and shapes. We made it during the ‘2’ sessions as a version of playtime and house-building – it started with simple steel framing, and by the end we were pasting curlicued pipe cleaners and pennies to the wall. Jelly Fish is its more introverted sibling, choosing to swim in deeper waters.”
The new single follows the band’s sophomore album as well as tours in the US and UK/Europe, with sold-out shows in NYC and London. Previous releases include “Mythological Man,” “Moodrings,” and “Cora Lu.”
