Amidst whimsical production, Pip pairs somber sonics with chillingly relatable lyricism, it’s a stark look at depression and emotionally charged but her unwavering braveness and vulnerability normalizes the regular occurrence of down times. The “Downright” video takes a look into the day-to-day struggles we have with our mental health and the turmoil some of our relationships bring, with Pip looking at her own situation from the outside as conflict unfolds.
