Singer/songwriter iskwē (pronounced iss-kway) reflects on a love’s finality with the hypnotic new single “Part Two.” “This is a song about my broken heart after a rocky relationship finally came crashing down,” shares iskwē. “We should have known, and we probably did, that things would end as passionately as they began. We ran the other to the ground while simultaneously pulling each other back to our feet, but the landing got slipperier and slipperier with each recovery, until enough was enough.”

“Part Two” is the fourth release from a collection of new material produced by (Björk, Bomba Estéreo, The Killers), including her FIRST-EVER Top 20 Alt-Rock single “I Get High” Feat. Nina Hagen, “Sure To Come” and “End Of It All.” She recently announced that she’ll head to NYC in March 2024 for The New Colossus Festival. This November & December, she’ll embark on a round of Canadian tour dates. Singer-songwriter Mike Edel will join her as the special guest for the Peterborough and Toronto shows. iskwē on “Part Two”?

“I wrote this song in Mexico City alongside producer extraordinaire Damian Taylor and the brilliant Ali Willa Milner. I had had this tune sitting in my being for a while, but it wasn’t until the three of us sat down together that it finally fell out and into completion!” iskwē continues, “There were moments when I was stuck – I had these emotions, these feelings that I wanted to release, but it was as though I was holding back on the final bit of healing unintentionally. Both Damian and Ali were wonderful in helping me find the sentiment I wanted to release, offering me the freedom to finally talk about the frustrations, the unhealthy ups and downs, and, of course, the passion that had once existed”.
