Horsegirl, will release their new album, Phonetics On and On, will drop on February 14th, 2025 via Matador Records. Along with the news, the NYC via Chicago band have announced a 2025 spring tour. Today, they share lead single/video, “2468.” Produced by Cate Le Bon and recorded at The Loft in Chicago, the band’s original and sonic home. Horsegirl, includes Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece.

In the fall of 2022, band relocated to New York City, where Penelope and Nora were to attend NYU— this was the first time the trio had written music outside of Penelope’s parents’ basement. The song’s video, directed by writer and filmmaker Eliza Callahan and choreographed by Alexa West, plays on a rhythmic series of quietly humorous, hyper-specific instructional games.

Horsegirl play a record release show on February 22nd at the Metro in Chicago, and will tour the southeast and northeast in March with Free Range supporting. All tickets are on sale Fri. Nov. 22nd at 10AM local time.
