Ferris & Sylvester Debut Video For “Knock You Down”
Ferris & Sylvester were on a great run, releasing EPs and numerous singles, as well, the UK-based duo of Issy Ferris and Archie Sylvester, toured the globe, playing shows with Robert Plant, George Ezra, Eric Clapton (at Hyde Park) and Tyler Childers, festival stages at Glastonbury, The Great Escape and Isle of Wight. The duo also had a scheduled tour of Europe with Jade Bird, before they could hit the road, live music came to a halt. On a positive note the band won the coveted Americana UK award, and announced their new EP I Should Be On A Train, due for release on out October 2, via Lab Records. Ahead of the arrival, Ferris & Sylvester have shared a new video for album track “Knock You Down.” The duo will play a run of re-scheduled North American dates, stops include Toronto, Chicago, and New York City.
from Ferris & Sylvester:
“This song was so much fun to write and record. We had the idea to use a mellotron after listening back to our favourite late 60’s records and felt it had that childlike, nostalgic feel. That was our starting point. We didn’t overthink it, it was written and recorded quickly and in very few takes. In a way, it feels like the most personal song from the collection and we hope it speaks to the confident and daring child within the listener.”
