“Elusive Dream” by Young Galaxy
Young Galaxy have returned with the new single “Elusive Dream” described as an intimate commentary on current social, political and personal landscapes. The song was independently released and is now available to stream. The song marks the return of the band to its original duo of Catherine McCandless and Stephen Ramsay, and features long time collaborator Dan Lissvik’s return to production duties.
On the new song Ramsay says, “‘Elusive Dream’ was written this summer during this ongoing period of social and political tension in the world. The song addresses the fact that we feel human existence is the craziest, most psychedelic thing there is, and yet it feels like we’re prone to squandering it all. We are hopeful, ready to fight for our beliefs and on behalf of those who have trouble fighting for themselves. Sometimes however, we just want to take a moment to reflect, to feel the wonder and the sadness of it all at the same time. This song is about those feelings.”
The band established its independence earlier this year with the single “Stay For Real”, and continue with “Elusive Dream”. They are proud to give the world new music that not only reflects a distillation of all their previous work, but that marks fresh, new musical territory as well.
