“To The Sandals”

Lyrics:

From your grace
The sadist fails
Their red blade
A-rallying, tallying
Each head in
Each fog town
Thought must I really lust?
Or knelt at the furless pulpit
The harrying, carrion

Nightmare
You dreamed it
You dreamed it

So take the words of your tragic fight
And dance them down to that new club
All the feet going in and out and in and out and in and out
Long nights – are you smelling them now ?

Lights all closed,
Whole cities lock you out
With the magnates and the pigeons
Yet you my love, extend your hand
Even when I’m stuck nowhere in my van

Nightmares
You dreamed them up
You dreamed them up

So take the words of your tragic fight
And dance them down to that new club
All the feet going in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out
Long nights – are you smelling them now ?

To the back teeth
To the front teeth
To the split tyres
To the penthouse
To the milk deal
To the wax seal
To the cracked heel
To the sandals
