Alex Schiff (Blue Canopy), vocalist & multi-instrumentalist details the single: “I approached my friend and ex-bandmate Patrick of A Beacon School about remixing “Bright Spot” shortly after its release (in December 2022) and it quickly evolved into a collaboration that we’re extremely proud of, putting a moody electronic spin on what was a sunny, guitar pop tune. The lyrics refer to a rough patch in my relationship with my long term partner. I just wanted everything to be OK between us and this song sorts through my feelings throughout that time, hoping for a resolution” A Beacon School is on tour now, supporting his latest album, yoyo, which we released last October.
