Montreal artist, N NAO have announced their their new LP Nouveaux Langages will drop on July 17th, 2026, via Mothland (TVOD, Sun Glaciers, La Sécurité). The double-album that features collaborations, remixes, and unreleased demos. Ahead of the LP’s arrival, N NAO has dropped the single “Fleuron” ft: Helena Deland on the new version. Deland acts as guest producer also singing, playing the electric guitar, and adding a few lines to the lyrics.

Helena and I have known each other since our beginnings in the Montreal music scene. Her voice has a familiar character to me that is so comforting. It touches me to the heart, moves me, and makes me cry every time. This is the first time we’ve created music together and something magical happened. A decade after our foundational meeting, I am moved by this version of “Fleuron”, which Helena has made her own, adding the perspective of reading and writing, she who has been a lover of literature ever since I’ve known her. In the studio with Patrick Holland (James K, Jump Source, Tops), everything happened fluidly and with joy; I was impressed by how naturally the song took shape under the enlightened direction of my oh-so talented friend. It’s the kind of collaboration that leaves a mark, that forges and, above all, makes you want to start again. A delight.

The lyrics for “Fleuron”, sensual and mediumistic, particularly intrigued me: the contrast between Rien ne change (Nothing changes) and Tout est nouveau (Everything is new) had me wanting to find out what it was all about, by re-harmonizing and responding to their openness. The structure of the original version passes from one landscape to another without stopping or looking back, while the remix rests on a more repetitive and circular arrangement, as if we were hearing a version prior to the original, a forgotten demo.
