Jon Spencer & the HITmakers have released “Worm Town,” the track is off their forthcoming release Spencer Gets It Lit!, available April 1st via In The Red Records.

In a place truly out of time and space, the video – made long distance using the most modern computer and satellite technologies – sees Spencer and the HITmakers caught in a vicious time loop, heading for moral reckoning and an almost certain demise. Spencer explains, “You can have all the money in the world, luxury yachts, oil wells, and command an army, but when your time is up – none of that will matter – you got to go. And what you reap, you gonna sow”

Thirteen songs of love, loss, lust, life — from the Farfisa-fueled,warped psycho -punk rave-up of “Junk Man,” to the intimate lover’s plea of “My Hit Parade,” to the outer-space end-of-days country funk of “Worm Town.” Says Spencer, “Send out the Hit Signal! This is the most uncompromising album I’ve ever made!”

Joining the HITmakers on the tour will be Janet Weiss! (Sleater Kinney, Wild Flag, The Jicks, Quasi, etc). Spencer says, “As a long-time fan of her wicked drumming style, I am so very excited to have this opportunity to play with Janet!” Each show will be opened by a full set from Janet and HITmaker Sam Coomes championship tag-team, Quasi!
