“White Van” By Lambrini Girls

Lambrini Girls have shared a new video for “White Van,” the track is about catcalling, and appears off their Debut EP You’re Welcome, out May 19 2023 via Big Scary Monsters. In other exciting news for the band, they have been hand-selected to open for the godfather of punk, Iggy Pop on July 1st in London, England. Based in Brighton, Phoebe Lunny (Vocals/Guitar – she/they) and Lilly Macieira (Bass – she/they) have a strong artistic bond over their creative common ground – hot button societal issues combined with a biting, tongue in cheek lyrical style all their own.

The T-shirt worn by the white van man was a second hand Lambretta T-shirt subverted to say “Lambrini” – created by designer Karthur. It was imagined to upset the character to see the juxtaposition of his favourite brand T-shirt, mashed up into Lambrini Girls merch.

Debut EP You’re Welcome is out 19th May 2023 via Big Scary Monsters, and contains previous single ‘Help Me I’m Gay’ which Phoebe used to come out to her mum, as well as ‘White Van’, other tracks include ‘Boys In The Band’ that’s about calling out abusers in the scene, and ‘Terf Wars’ which is pretty simple – Transphobia has no place in feminism. ‘Mr Lovebomb’ looks at altering behaviour in relationships, and ‘Lads lads lads’ is about toxic masculinity.
