Jaco Jaco is the project of multi-artist Jacob Theriot, also known for his work in indie-rock trio Sports. Today, he releases “Wager,” the latest single from his forthcoming album, On the Levee, available July 10th. The track follows previous single “Levee.” Theriot says: “This song is about the reality that taking chances on yourself comes at a cost, usually in ways you don’t see coming.”

Theriot, first picked up the bass at age 12, Theriot has spent years refining a sound that blends elements of funk, psychedelic pop, and dreamy ’70s AM rock. Theriot introduced Jaco Jaco with his 2024 debut Splat, and followed it up in 2025 with Gremlin, a warm, playful collection of songs that balances intricacy with an easygoing charm. Written ove a few months and largely recorded by Theriot himself in Philadelphia.
