Jaco Jaco, is the musical project of Philadelphia-based multi-artist, and former member of Sports,  Jacob Theriot. Today, he has announced his new album, On the Levee, will arrive on July 10th, and shares the lead single, “Levee.” A lifelong songwriter who first picked up the bass at age 12, Theriot has spent years refining a sound that blends elements of funk, psychedelic pop, and dreamy ’70s AM rock. His music moves fluidly between genres, pairing groove-forward arrangements with reflective, often abstract lyricism.

Theriot introduced Jaco Jaco with his 2024 debut Splat, and followed it up in 2025 with Gremlin, a warm, playful collection of songs that balances intricacy with an easygoing charm. Written in a burst of creativity over just a few months and largely recorded by Theriot himself in Philadelphia, the album captures a sense of spontaneity while remaining carefully arranged and deeply personal.
