Transgressive, the independent music group comprising a record label, publisher and management company, this year celebrates 20 years at the forefront of discovering, nurturing and breaking new talent.

Established in September 2004 by founders Tim Dellow and Toby L, with third partner Lilas Bourboulon joining shortly afterwards, in its genre-defying two-decade tenure Transgressive has worked with globally acclaimed, award-winning and chart-topping artists including Foals, Flume, SOPHIE, Loyle Carner, Black Country, New Road, Let’s Eat Grandma, Julia Jacklin, Regina Spektor, Beverly Glenn Copeland, The WAEVE, Wesley Joseph, The Shins, Alvvays, Mykki Blanco, Songhoy Blues, At The Drive-In, Moonchild Sanelly and Damon Albarn. Progressive and ever-pioneering, the company has always aspired to move and surprise.

To commence its birthday celebrations, Transgressive today announces a series of very special events in London over the course of the next four months, commencing with a rare show in Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre with Arlo Parks and Marika Hackman, and featuring a slew of its roster from around the world in iconic venues around the city. The shows will be held in association with charity partners War Child and Music Venue Trust, where attendees and guests will have the ability to learn more and offer donations to the respective causes.

To kickstart our anniversary, we wanted to reflect the eclecticism and inclusivity of the company’s roster and culture by putting together some communal moments. Since our earliest days, we’ve curated and staged shows and events, and it felt like the most natural way to share the joy and gratitude that we feel for making it this far.”
