They Hate Change have returned with new single “Doe”, the track is accompanied by its B-side “Woe”. Both tracks were produced by Frost Children and are available now via Jagjaguwar and DSPs

Doe/Woe was recorded at a session in NYC while They Hate Change opened for their friends Dry Cleaning. As soon as they finished their set, they climbed into a cab bound for the Frost Children lab. A high octane session, waxed in an hour, Angel and Lulu of Frost Children set the pace via the epileptic drum-n-bass 808s while Dre and Vonne worked out the rapid-fire shadowboxing back-n-forth vocal patterns.

Both tracks catalogue the breathless recent touring schedule of Change’s, with vignettes of life spent performing in new cities: ‘Gulf Coast Baby, I miss ya / Road Runners we been doing shows all summer’, opens ‘Doe’, with B-side ‘Woe’ referencing Madrid, Benidorm and Barcelona (and even much-loved British bakery chain Greggs).

They followed up with the Wish You Were Here EP, released earlier this year. The EP features collaborations from Wu-Lu, 96Back, and DJ Orange Julius, as well as Odd Future/NRK’s Vritra, a foundational influence on ‘Change, all of whom they met on their global travels while relentlessly touring.
