Peter Kember AKA: Sonic Boom has shared “The Way That You Live”, his latest single off All Things Being Equal, his first album in thirty years, available June 5th via Carpark Records. The track is accompanied by visualizer directed by Roland van der Velden.

Kember’s new surroundings in Sintra, Portugal inspired the album’s lyrics, which stress humanity’s role in our planet’s “critical collapse,” redress the power of our symbiotic relationship with nature and plants, and riddle over Animist spirituality.

“I wanted to mix bright digital with chunky analogue,” says Kember. “Certain instruments have something about their sound that touches me deep, and I’m always trying to focus as much vibe as I can into the songs.”

With All Things Being Equal, Sonic Boom once again offers us a new way to listen, with music that is textural, full of dimension, and conscious of its place in the galaxy. $1 from every album sold will be donated to environmental advocacy organization Earth Island.

Sonic Boom name has remained in use by Kember throughout his career as both a performer and producer, working with many other influential artists including MGMT, Beach House, and Panda Bear.
