YOVA, have released new single, “Sunday Afternoon,” the track is off the band’s forthcoming album attractive forces, available May 15 via on Quartertone/Right Track/ Universal. YOVA, includes Jova Radevska (vocals/lyrics) and Mark Vernon (guitar/Keyboards). The single was produced by Mark Vernon and also features Alex Thomas (Drums), David Rhodes (Acoustic and Electric Guitars), Daniel O’Sullivan (Bass guitar/Mellotron/Glockenspiel/ Synths/Bansuri), Terry Edwards (Flute) and Athena Octavia (Violin).

“Sunday Afternoon,” is described by the band as an uplifting, timeless and summery sounding song that perhaps evokes the delicate sonic tapestries of Judee Sill and Nick Drake. It is a contemplative yet optimistic snapshot of a sunny and bucolic Sunday afternoon at peace with the “attractive forces” of nature, the warm breeze and the summer haze reaffirming and quietly celebrating reassuring feelings of comfort, safety and love in those magic hours when the days are long and time feels suspended.

The album includes 7 brand new songs written by the duo along with a version of The Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes” originally released in 1969.The album closes with YOVA’s reimagining of Macedonian group Memorija’s 1989 hit “Fire Under The Stars (Ogan Pod Zvezdite)” written just before the break up of Yugoslavia in the early 1990’s.

On (Attractive Forces), YOVA have continued to collaborate with Daniel O’Sullivan (Sunn O))), Grumbling Fur), Alex Thomas (John Cale, Anna Calvi ), Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave) David Rhodes ( Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel) and the veteran pedal steel guitar player BJ Cole (Beck, Spiritualized, The Verve).
