“Splinter” by Spill Tab

Spill tab has shared a new single/visualiser for her song “Splinter.” The track follows a run of headline shows in London and Paris, and appearance at The Great Escape 2022. On the track, the French-Korean-American artist says “I wanted to make something with a bit of an early 2000s rom com end credits vibe going on, so I made ‘Splinter ‘with my friends Wyatt and Austin, who absolutely smashed it. It’s a bit depressing lyrically but I love having those visuals layered over the crunchy drums and guitars.”

2021 was a busy year for spill tab, culminating in the December release of her EP Bonnie. Setting the pace with her effusive, untethered lead single ‘PISTOLWHIP’, she released a string of forward-thinking tracks complete with a line up of well-cast collaborators. Chicago rapper Tommy Genesis unleashes on the glitchy ‘Indecisive’, JAWNY chants playfully across ‘Grade A’, and ‘Velcro’ unveils a duet moment between spill tab and Gus Dapperton. Her music caught the ears of Metronomy, who invited her to appear on their surprise Posse EP, featuring and co-producing on the track ‘Uneasy’. She spent a good portion of the year on the road too – joining both Gus Dapperton and JAWNY for their respective North American tours.

spill tab is the moniker of Claire – singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. spill tab launched her musical career, grabbing disparate feelings, sounds, tones, and textures to form her distinctive brand of bedroom-pop, with lyrics in both English and French.
