SINGLE MOTHERS are a raucous band and they’ve just announced tour dates with even more to come soon. They are one of the most exciting live bands around and they’ve been a favorite band of many a photographer also – you just can’t take your eyes off their unpredictable singer Drew Thomson.

Single Mothers’ debut album Negative Qualities was released a few months ago via Hot Charity, an XL Recordings imprint and if you’ve ever liked bands like Titus Andronicus, The Hold Steady, Fucked Up, Ceremony, etc you will probably enjoy SINGLE MOTHERS. Negative Qualities serves as a good introduction – it aexplosive mix of raw energy, high-end punk and intellectual rendering of small town frustration. Their brainy lyrics combined with their powerful and explosive music make for an energy that is hard to turn away from.
