Sega Bodega Debuts “Deer Teeth”
Artist/producer Sega Bodega shares his new single, “Deer Teeth.” The track taken from his forthcoming studio album. Debuted on the first episode of his new 8-part Lose Yourself series for BBC Radio 6Music last night, “Deer Teeth” comes alongside a lyrics video and exemplifies Sega Bodega’s rich, textural style of electronic music, paired with surreal lyrical storytelling (“Bury me and keep me down with all your deer teeth / Until we meet / Feel the wings as we’re cradled on a mother swan / Until we’re gone”).
The release date for the new record is yet to be confirmed, and the new project follows a prolific period for Sega Bodega (real name Salvador Navarrete). After releasing his last album Romeo, Navarrete has gone on to produce work by international artists such as Björk, Caroline Polachek, Shygirl, Eartheater, Sevdaliza, and the list goes on. Such a rapidly growing list of production and writing credits demonstrates Sega’s position as a trusted mentor and collaborator of some of the most distinctive contemporary leftfield artists.
“Deer Teeth” is the debut release via Sega Bodega’s new label ambient tweets, via which he’ll release not only his own music but also that of friends, collaborators, and more upcoming artists within the alternative electronic music world.
