School of X Debuts Video For “Away”
Danish multi-artist has dropped a new video for his single “Away.” The track is off his forthcoming release Dancing Through The Void, which drops on September 24th, 2021. Flashback to Early 2020, things were looking up for School of X’s Rasmus Littauer. The first single from his debut album Armlock was out, he had just played first Danish headline tour, and he was ready to hop on the plane for gigs in London and the U.S. at SXSW.
like so many other artists in 2020, School of X’s album came out while he was forced to stay in. But instead of hanging his head, Littauer took off to his childhood home in the Danish countryside. After six weeks of solitude, Littauer came back to Copenhagen with the songs for his sophomore album Dancing Through the Void already under his arm. Ahead of the album’s release, the Danish artist has shared a video for the album track “Away.” The catchy track is another taste of, some of the great artists coming out of Denmark.
Rasmus on the video for “Away”
“I wanted to make a simple video, with subtle storytelling, without making a narrative—a story that would build on the emotions of the song. The video was made with director Stroud Rhode Pearce and I think he did exactly what he needed to do. He made the song sound better with his very cinematic yet intimate style.”
Rasmus Littauer has made a name for himself over the past decade as the drummer for pop star MØ. Since Faded. Dream., his 2017 debut EP under the moniker School of X, he has been making waves in the Danish scene, and turning heads internationally. School of X returned in ‘19 with his Destiny EP, and the 2020 follow-up Interpretations of Destiny, featuring remixes and interpretations by Trentemoller and Spencer Zahn, among others. Armlock, School of X’s debut album, was released in May of 2020.
