Multi-instrumentalist and producer Sam Ray, known under the electronic moniker Ricky Eat Acid, today releases his first official single, “Context”, with Canvasclub, the new singles label from Canvasback!  The pop-ambient infused digital release also comes with the sublime B-side “Walking Through A Garden At Midnight.

REA came on the radar in 2014 with the lauded release, Three Love Songs (Orchid Tapes),  A sonic composite of found sounds and live instrumentation, the prolific Baltimore-raised, now NYC-based REA combines intricate sonic collaging with beats and atmospheric meandering that at times elicit both dancing and somber emotional reflection.
