Norwegian Songstress Susanna Reveals US Tour
Norwegian songwriter, vocal interpreter and producer, Susanna, will be making a special trip stateside this March for a select run of dates, including a performance at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, plus shows in New York, Philadelphia, Louisville and Chicago. The Oslo-based songstress is known for performing and recording under the names Susanna, Susanna and the Magical Orchestra, Susanna Wallumrød and most recently, Susanna and Ensemble neoN, as well as for her singular interpretations of other people’s songs, including Dolly Parton, Leonard Cohen, Prince, Joy Division, Scott Walker, and KISS.
For this upcoming tour, Susanna will perform songs from her whole catalogue, including selections from 2012’s Wild Dog and 2013’s The Forester, in addition to a wide-range of covers. An intensely arresting performer, Susanna holds audiences captive with her vocal timbre and the powerful, all consuming sound of her band; her concerts are truly magical. Live, Susanna will play piano and sing, accompanied by Helge Sten (Deathprod, Supersilent) on guitar, and Fredrik Wallumrød (El Caco) on drums and vocals.
