Michael Kiwanuka shares new single “The Rest Of Me,” the track is off the UK artist’s forthcoming album Small Changes, available November 15th via Geffen Records, alongside a video shot by Yout. The song arrives as Kiwanuka makes his way across North America on a co-headline tour with Brittany Howard.

Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) and Michael focused deeply on the production and the direction of Small Changes and particularly “The Rest Of Me,” the album’s track, was the desire to make an album that transcends any notion of what is or isn’t deemed “cool”. Kiwanuka recalls, “We were trying to shoot for something that might have made it onto a Bill Withers album or a Sadé album.” Indeed, Sadé is the case in point on the new song, as Michael remembers afternoons as a child in the back of his aunt’s car, “where Diamond Life was rarely out of the tape machine.”

Along with new track, Michael has shared details of a European/UK headline tour for Spring 2025. The 12-date run will be Michael’s first headline dates in the UK/Europe since 2022, and the first opportunity to hear tracks from Small Changes performed live. The tour will include March dates in Wolverhampton, London’s Eventim Apollo, Edinburgh, and conclude on March 13th at the O2 Apollo in Manchester.

His ongoing tour with Brittany Howard makes a stop at NYC’s Summerstage In Central Park, continuing through to October 19 in Paso Robles, California. The rapturously received shows follow his highly celebrated return to festival stages this Summer, including his sublime sunset slot on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and as headliner at the Wilderness Festival.
