Matt Maltese releases his new single “The Earth is a Very Small Dot,” along with a run of UK, EU & US dates for early next year, including stops in Nashville at Basement East, New York City at Irving Plaza, and in Los Angeles at The Wiltern.

Explaining the story behind the new single, Matt states, “I guess it’s an age-old wisdom that perspective is everything when worrying about your own life. But it’s been something I’ve come back to time and time again. That the world is a small speck, and we’re even smaller specks on it. And remembering this can sometimes help me contextualize fears and worries and be much calmer because of it. Side note – at other times, it can be completely terrifying that our size is so physically meaningless when faced against the behemoth that is the universe. But this song was me on a good day.”

Maltese has toured throughout Taipei, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, and Seoul in May for his first headline shows in each country. He appeared at festivals all over the U.S., including Shaky Knees in Atlanta, Governors Ball Festival in New York in June, and Lollapalooza in Chicago this past August, and will be performing at Austin City Limits weekend one this October to wrap up the year. “Rom-Com Gone Wrong” by Matt Maltese has also been featured on Frank Ocean’s Blonded Radio.
