Maryze is back with a new single and self-directed video for “Too Late.” The track is available via the Montreal artist’s label Hot Tramp Records (Janette King, Alicia Clara). “Too Late,” features Maryze collaborator Solomon K-I, who blends 80s drum machines with his unique modern instrumentation. The track will surely getting your feet tapping, at the very least.

Maryze will release her debut LP, in the fall 2021, It also follows “Squelettes” with fellow Montreal artist and Polaris winner Backxwash.

“I wrote this song when I was feeling both frustrated about wasting time, and also completely unable to motivate myself in the pandemic,” explains Maryze. “I was kicking myself while I was down, which obviously isn’t helpful to get back up. For some reason, even if the lyrics are pretty depressing, the song came out upbeat and dancey. I immediately heard it with an 80s beat –the era of sad dancefloor hits.”
