Lull premiere video for “Nouvelle”
London quartet Lull has premiered a video for the title-track of their sophomore EP, Nouvelle.
Of the video guitarist/vocalist Jon Billinge had to say, “We worked with director Tom Palliser on the ‘Nouvelle’ shoot. A lot of our songs carry motifs of the sea, but we knew that we didn’t want anything too fussy or choreographed. There’s always some sort of ebb and flow to our tracks, from these quiet rushes into these big waves, so it felt right to have the placid sea contrasting against Tom’s kinetic camerawork. It’s like the woozy reel of the lure before it gets cast off again, which is true to the song’s heart.”
Nouvelle was released last month via PaperCup Music. It was recorded at Bear Bites Horse Studio and The Premises in London by Wayne Adams and Neil Tollitt. It is the follow-up to last June’s self-titled, debut EP.
