Jorja Smith has dropped new single “High,” the track is accompanied by a video Directed by British Director KC Locke (Pa Salieu, Lola Young). shot in her hometown of Walsall, the footage spotlights Jorja partying and celebrating; generally high on life. The new single marks the first piece of original music from Jorja since the release of her highly anticipated second album, falling or flying, which arrived late last year.

Jorja elaborates on the creative process: “I always wanted to do something with the talented KC! I just wanted to have some fun with this one!” KC also shares his thoughts on working with Jorja: “Jorja is a real one. Was a pleasure to finally link up & bringing the world of “HIGH” to life!”

“High” was produced by her long-term collaborators DAMEDAME*. “It’s a song about finding a friend within myself, even through the lows, you have to find the highs.” Jorja states on the inspiration behind the single. “I’ve had my lows, You weren’t always there for me, But time has shown, And I can love myself again” – she sings.
