Ethan P. Flynn has shared new single “Clutching Your Pearls”, the latest track off his debut album Abandon All Hope, available October 6 via Young. Written, and produced by Ethan P. Flynn, “Clutching Your Pearls” is about letting go, told using a uniquely-tuned mandola. The single features performances from Ava Gore (Vocals), Melchoir Geidroyc (Drums), Felix Stephens (Cello), Jack Banjo Courtney (Horns), and Jamie Farrington (Tuba).

The single is accompanied by a video, directed by Ethan P. Flynn and shot by CHILD studio (Pa Salieu, Anaiis, The xx). Reflective of the liberating single, the mythical video for “Clutching Your Pearls” places Ethan P. Flynn at the centre as joyful celebrations unfold with friends. Watch it now here.

Speaking on Clutching Your Pearls”, Ethan P. Flynn says “Clutching Your Pearls is centered around a mandala that I uniquely tuned myself. The song is really about letting go told through the story of a shipwrecked Doctor in the 1950s. That theme is a strong aspect of this album. I was failing at perfectionism before, trying to sound chaotic while actually being very controlled. This time, I was in the studio, playing, not trying to make things perfect. That’s not what I’m meant for.”
