Jenny Lewis To Release New Album, ‘The Voyager’, On July 29th on Warner Bros. Records

California singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis will be releasing The Voyager, her new latest album, via Warner Bros. Records. The album is due to be released on July 29th. Listen to “Completely Not Me” above, a track also featured on the HBO series Girls.

The Voyager will mark Lewis’ end of hiatus as it will be her first solo release in six years. Apart from having embarked on her solo project, Lewis was also the frontwoman of indie-rock band Rilo Kiley before it’s breakup in 2010. The Voyager follows 2006’s Rabbit Fur Coat and 2008’s Acid Tongue. Various tracks on the album were produced by artists like Ryan Adams, Beck and Johnathan Rice. On working with Adams, Lewis said, “Ryan and I didn’t know each other very well before this album — we had hardly even listened to one another’s music, to be honest. But I trusted the vision, and Ryan ended up being the person to get me over the fear of finishing something I’d been working on for so long.”

Lewis spent time in 2013 touring with The Postal Service, who she collaborated with on their 2003 debut Give Up. In addition to this, Jenny Lewis is also in the middle of her summer tour of the USA, which will be continuing till October.
