Montreal singer/songwriter Marlaena Moore the artist has shared the stage with Angel Olsen, US Girls, Jennifer Castle and more. Her previous album, Pay to be Amazed, was produced by musician and animator Chad VanGaalen, including the popular single “I Miss You.” Encouraged by producer Scott “Monty” Munro, Moore began writing and demoing songs in his parents’ basement in Edmonton, where they were living at the time. After over a year of collaboration, they moved to Montreal to complete Because You Love Everything.

The new LP is described an introspective journey that pushes the boundaries of her musical expression. Originally titled I Don’t Really Know What I’m Doing Anymore. The title reflects the uncertainty Moore has felt throughout her career—marked by stops and starts—as she navigates the ever-changing landscape of the music industry.

In her own words, Moore shares, “This album’s original title resonated deeply with me during its creation, as it captured the sense of disorientation I experienced both personally and professionally. Yet, as I revisited these songs, I realized that Because You Love Everything is a more honest and hopeful representation of where I am now. Despite moments of doubt and the temptation to quit, my true desire to remain creative and vulnerable through self-expression drives me to keep going. This album is a testament to that relentless pursuit.” Because You Love Everything will be available on all major streaming platforms on January 17, 2025.
