Honduras Premiere “Mistake” Video
The story of Honduras isn’t necessarily a new one, but if the internet age has taught us anything, new isn’t always better. Friends since childhood, Patrick Phillips (vocals/guitar) and Tyson Moore (guitar/vocals) found each other again in a Bushwick basement where they began writing much of what would become Honduras’ early material, 2012’s self-released debut EP, Cahokia. Inspired by late 70’s punk, but mixing in aspects of garage and indie music that followed, Honduras played Brooklyn’s DIY venue scene tirelessly and garnered a repuation.
After bringing in Josh Wehle to play drums, the band added a new bass player in Paul Lizarraga (the Denzels) to round out the band’s edge. The group has shared stages like Bowery Ballroom and Music Hall of Williamsburg with Drowners and the Kaiser Chiefs over the past year.
