Harlequin Gold debut new single “Youth”
Harlequin Gold is a Vancouver based indie pop band consisting of sisters Avery and Elle O’Brien. Singing together since they were young, they’ve just recently been taking their infectious and well crafted pop songs to stages around BC. Taking influences from artists such as Alvvays, The Cranberries and Maggie Rogers, they combine their soft vocals and harmonies with harder guitar elements to create a dreamy and upbeat sound. Their new single ‘Youth’ was produced by Justice McLellan (Blue J, Mesa Luna) at Jacknife Sound in Vancouver, BC. The track follows their previous single “Without You now”. Both track are available to stream on Spotify.
Harlequin Gold on “Youth”
Our song “Youth” is about transitioning out of the antics and drama of being young. How its a bittersweet process that can be extremely healthy but also difficult to grapple with in a world that puts so much value on being young.
