FEET share “Greasy Boy” the final ahead of the release of UK band’s new album Make It Up, which drops on June 14th via Submarine Cat Records. Alongside the new track, the UK band announce details of new tour dates. For the album, the band collaborated wit producer Andy Savours, known for his work with Black Country New Road and The Horrors.

George Haverson on “Greasy Boy:”

“We spent a great deal of time trying to define what we are as a band on this album” explains the lead singer. “On ‘Greasy Boy’ I wanted to poke fun at that labelling process. Ultimately five blokes playing guitars isn’t a new phenomenon and that’s never been lost on us. I think recognising that and the choke hold it’s had on the guitar scene is important. As festival lineups slowly creep forward into a richer diverse future, the ‘eye rolling’ sleazy heartbreakers will hopefully get left behind. The song is about toeing that line, or if you may in fact be standing in its path.”

“When we constructed this album, we wanted to keep it very simple in the way we did everything and that’s because I want people to listen to the album and be able to play it too. I want kids to pick up guitars like we all did when we were 14 or 15 and sit in the practice room and learn them at lunchtime,” says Haverson. “That’s our whole ethos as a band and our general creative output. It needs to be accessible and repeatable.”
