Goat Girl Debut Video For “Badibaba”
Goat Girl have shared a new video for their single “Badibaba.” The track is off the UK quartet’s forthcoming release On All Fours, which drops on January 29, 2021 via Rough Trade Records. Guitarist/vocalist L.E.D. says “Badibaba is a song about environmental catastrophe and the pessimism and self-destruction that this causes to the human spirit.” Guitarist/vocalist Clottie Cream adds, “It touches on how the earth’s existence is controlled by exploitative systems, and the feeling of existential helplessness this induces.”
The album was produced by Dan Carey (Kae Tempest, black midi & Franz Ferdinand) in South London in late 2019. It sees the band delve deeper into unexplored lyrical and melodic territory while retaining their critical lens on the world’s injustices and social prejudices.
Goat Girl has also announced A September UK headline, with pre-sale tickets on-sale today at the band’s website and general on-sale beginning January 21st at 10am GMT.
